Palmetto Whimsey
Inspired by palmettos along a trail in Cedar Key Wildlife Refuge, Florida. Colors of the dried fonds are my "whimsey."
Textile artwork is hand painted. Embroidering is by hand manipulated free motion machine stitching through supporting layers of cotton and batting. The 17x41 inch artwork is stretched over a 12x36 inch heavy internal frame.
