INFORMATION ON PURCHASING ORIGINAL ARTWORK FROM JANET HERMAN ART
Whether you purchase my original art through the Artspan Marketplace or direct from the Janet Herman Art website, all shipments originate from my home studio near Polk City, Florida. If local, contact me by phone or email to make an appointment to pick up the artwork from my studio or for delivery.
I take great care in packaging my work so that it arrives to you intact through the rigors of shipping. Shipment will be insured. The cost of packaging, shipping and insurance is prepaid. If you wish to order original art and have it shipped to Canada, there will be extra charges equal only to what I am required to pay beyond normal shipping.
My framed artwork is painted and stitched textile. If there is glass in the frame, it is Museum Glass by Tru-Vue. If you are not familiar with this product, please be aware that Museum Glass eliminates most reflection and offers 99% UV protection. The glass must be placed in the frame a particular way and allow air space from the textile. If you are re-framing, you need to know this. I've worked hard to ensure my artwork and framing is archival, where possible.
Regarding size, weight and more: The measurements posted with each art piece include the frame. The weight is from a USPS scale and does not include tare weight (packaging for shipment). The art comes with a hanging wire, On the back is an envelope containing Certificate of Authenticity and other information about the artwork care.
RETURNS:
Due to differences in computer monitors and devices, images may not match reality. There are usually differences in color tone.
Regarding artist shipped orders: If shipment value is over $200, buyer must sign for shipment.
Artspan's policy is to allow you seven (7) days after receipt to decide whether to keep or return the artwork in original condition for a refund. Normally, the customer pays for return shipping. Please review their policy, conditions and contact information. However, I would appreciate your personal contact immediately upon receipt to hear your comments on the artwork and any concerns you have about the art or its framing ... Janet Herman, artist.
Purchases you made in person or online as a result of seeing the artwork live at an art festival, exhibit or my studio, are final . Exchanges are considered on a case-by-case basis with restrictions.
