Grassy Path
As a child I lived near fields of black dirt, corn or grasses and dark spaces under dense tree cover. In some parks, paths were mowed through fields of tall grass.
Abstract created from oil study. Textile art background is painted with Prochem dyes on cotton. Embroidery detailing over 3 layers of cotton, batting and medium weight stabilizer with hand manipulated free motion machine stitching. Finished art quilt stretched over 12x36 inch gallery canvas and installed in wood floating frame. Frame has neutral wood sides and black interior.
